Hungry? New York Restaurant Week 2020, Winter Edition, Unfurls with 49 Hotel Restaurants on Board

Three things New Yorkers expect at the start of a new year are broken resolutions, freezing weather and New York Restaurant Week.  The third, at least, arrives dependably.

Now in its 18th year, New York’s bi-annual blizzard of lunch and dinner bargains unfurls January 21 to February 9 with $26 two-course lunches and $42 three-course dinners at restaurants throughout the city. A rousing 365 restaurants are participating this time.

Forty-nine are at hotels, a record for Winter Restaurant Week and the most since we started counting in 2012.

New to the event this January are two dining newcomers. Look for Felice 56, the latest outpost of the stylish Felice Italian restaurant group, in the former home of Má Pêche at Chambers Hotel. And expect Latin American fare at Paloma, the lively restaurant at the new Hotel Hendricks in the West 30s.

Returning to NYRW after a hiatus are The Carlyle Hotel’s urbane Carlyle Restaurant on the Upper East Side, Church + Dey, the colorful New American restaurant at Millennium Hilton New York Downtown, Clocktower, the atmospheric, Michelin starred property at NoMad’s New York Edition and Breslin Bar and Dining Room, Ace hotel’s meaty gastropubl.

Missing this round are Augustine at the Beekman,  Narcissa at Standard East, The Shakespeare at The William, Todd English Food Halls at the Plaza and Kingside at Le Meridien New York (formerly the Viceroy).

Here’s where hungry hotel enthusiasts can look for deals on meals. And remember, many of these hotel restaurants celebrate NYRW with prix fixe lunches and dinners year round.
