Macy’s unleashes their patented July 4 ode to the rockets’ red glare, aka the Macy’s Fireworks Show, tonight from a fleet of barges floating in the East River between 22nd and 42nd streets. That make Fireworks 2018 a three-borough spectacular, with viewing opportunities throughout much of Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, provided there’s nothing tall to obstruct your view (good luck). Four NYC Hotels For Watching the July 4 Fireworks

It’s almost birthday time for one big country, and who needs candles when you’ve got fireworks?

This year’s July 4th sparklers, courtesy of Macy’s, explode over the East River, shot from barges floating between East 23rd Street and East 34th Street. You can see them from anywhere in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, provided there’s no tall buildings to obstruct your view (good luck). But a rooftop lounge at a well-placed hotel all but guarantees a great view (and drinks and food to boot). These four hotels are going all out to celebrate a big 239th for the USA. Read more

NYC Hotels to Check Out – or Into – for The Fourth of July

237 may not be a Big Moment birthday, like a bi- or tri-centennial, but hey, how many people do you know who have reached it?

Countries are another story, but we love July 4 and so, it seems, do these hotels. All offer something, like a spot for taking in the fireworks, viewing the sport of competitive eating or just gazing at Lady Liberty on a red-white-and-blue-letter day.
